Kobe's Back On the Court

It is nice to see Kobe back on the court. I know it is only preseason, but I haven't seen him play since last year. He isn't as good as he was 10 years ago, but he is still very good. He is only ranked at 40th best in the NBA right now. It doesn't sound so right. As long as Kobe is healthy, he will prove them wrong this season.

Byron Scott, the head coach for the Lakers, and Kobe were discussing Kobe's minutes on the court for the future. Kobe is the leader on the team and can basically say if he wants to sit out or still be on the court. He did that a couple years ago to make it to the playoff. Kobe barely sat down that year, and his consequence was getting injured. You have a higher chance of getting injured when you're on the court a substantial amount of time every game. Especially if you are in your mid 30's.

Kobe and Byron Scott couldn't get to a conclusion yet. He'll definitely sit down more than the season a couple years ago. They made it to the playoffs that year. It wasn't a great post season though because Kobe was out. The Spurs swept the Lakers 4 games to 0.

  1. I also do not agree to Kobe being the 40th player. I understand that he isn't as good as he was a long ago. When you are in your 30's you lose your muscle and energy. He is a super good player but he is just getting old. I hope Kobe shows that he has gotten better after his injuries.
