Lakers New Coach. Familiar Face?

The Lakers have a new head coach for the team. His name is Byron Scott. You might find this name very familiar. Byron Scott was a Lakers shooting guard from 1983 to 1993. He was teammates with Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabar, and James Worthy. He got 3 championships with the Lakers.

Byron Scott began his coaching career in 1998. He coached for the Kings, Nets, Hornets, Cavaliers, and now the Lakers. Byron Scott was the coach of the year in 2008. He was coaching the Hornets at the time. His team did so good because he had the good duo of superstars, Chris Paul and Tyson Chandler. The Laker fans are hoping that he will have a good year with the good player like Kobe Bryant, Jeremy Lin, Steve Nash, Julius Randle, and Carlos Boozer.

  1. I believe that it is a good choice to have a coach that is familiar with the team. It is good because he could teach the team plays that they did a long time ago. He has also coached so many team so he could teach them defense and offense skills that could help them beat teams. I hope having a former Lakers player will help them win some games this year.
