The team and I flew out to Dillingham on the 28th to participate in the 2015 Sockeye Tournament. So far, we have played 2 games and they were both 2A schools. Our first game, we played against the Togiak Huskies. We had a good 10 point lead the whole game. We beat them with the score at 59-48.
Our next game was against the Dillingham Wolverines. Dillingham High School is the biggest 2A school in Alaska with 150 high school students. That's a lot of high school students compared to St. Paul with around 18 high school students. We were working together and playing good defense the whole game. We were ahead all of the 1st half. We lost the lead in the middle of the 3rd quarter. We kept it close the whole game, but ended up losing with the score at 48-59.
Our second game was the best game we have ever had, it feels like. It was such an amazing thing to be apart of because both teams were so good! We kept our attitudes in line, and played the most amazing game ever. I also loved how we were still happy at the end, even if we did not win. We felt so happy because we knew we played with everything we had, and the big thing about it is that they are the biggest 2A school. We did amazing!
