Clayton Kershaw's Awarded

Clayton Kershaw, the Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher, was awarded the NL Cy Young award and also the MVP award. His stupendous pitching during the season stunned the world. Clayton Kershaw has won the Cy Young and MVP award with a major margin. He is the only pitcher to be awarded the NL MVP award since 1968 by Bob Gibson. Clayton Kershaw has earned that MVP from his season excellence.

Clayton Kershaw had 18 of 30 first place votes going toward him. Kershaw was in disbelief when he heard his name get called for MVP. He couldn't believe that he beat Gioncarlo Stanton and Andrew McKutchin. Gioncarlo Stanton is one of the best slugging hitters in the game, getting a lot of home runs. Andrew McKutchin is a superb outfielder that makes difficult catches like it's nothing.

When Kershaw pitched this season, the team won 21 games and only lost 4 games. The rest of the starting pitchers was only 3 games over .500 during the season. Its a big difference. Kershaw was 13 games over .500. Kershaw has won his second straight Cy Young award, his 3rd overall.

Clayton Kershaw has also won the NL Golden Glove award. It is for a player that makes difficult catches. One of the hardest balls to catch is on the pitchers mound. You have to have really good reflexes. Once the ball is hit, the ball is going straight towards you, and trust me, the batters hit hard. If you don't catch the ball, you will probably get hit.

I think that Clayton Kershaw is the best pitcher to ever play baseball. I'm so happy that he is on the Dodgers. I just love watching him play, and I'll be watching him play until he pitches his last baseball. I think that it will be a very long time before anybody sees such a great performance, especially on a game to game basis. The awesome part is, he's only going to get better.
